I had the cover above the cabin air filter get cracked and water got into the housing where the blower motor is. Got a new one and problem was fixed. Also, the drain tube for a/c condensate can get plugged as well.

Also, the thermostat housing / water neck can leak if it is older or has been overtightened. Right up front, kinda to the right of the injection pump and alternator. By the way, has this been chip tuned? Bigger turbo? Nozzles?

How is the condition of the paint? Any rust issues? Also, how are the interior and seats?

What is your price with the mods left on? Was it chipped/tuned? What is the mileage of the car now? Unless I missed it, you listed the mileage of the donor car for the motor/transmission. Were the nozzles mounted and balanced by someone? or DIY?

Problem Solved! It was indeed the exhaust manifold gasket on the #4 cylinder exhaust port. Exhaust manifold/turbo ports: Ports on the head, sorry for the crappy photo: Power delivery is much smoother now (obviously), but I think this has been going on longer than the screeching noise...
