I can tell you from experience that the base of the ccv plastic pipe will be a spot for an oil leak. I've seen 3 96 Passats with the same symtoms. Just a matter of time and they leak. I've made an aluminum cover plate to replace the ccv tube and that stops the leak very nicely. Let me know...
