    I also have a BEW engine with a manually shifted gearbox and the only gauge I had to code-in was boost pressure for the KP-39 turbo... coolant temp is read from the ECU which is the temperature of the coolant from the cylinder head. Have you tried restoring your Scangauge II to factory defaults...

    in 1999 when I bought my first mkIV Jetta the salesman told me the heated seats were part of the Cold Weather Package that the dealership ordered for all their deliveries. So I asked what kind of block heater was installed and he said none... lmao @ cold weather package but I gave him my money...

    you can save money being a beta tester for sure or pay $500 at the dealership for a german speaking fuel pump or buy what you know will work based on the reputation of the company selling the part...defender-tech is a company I trust :D (Y)

    Edit: The "no-suffix pump" with the white canister, external hose to the eductor and blue/grey top plate is now the only pump available from any source, vendor or dealer. See post #26, #57 and #70 for comparison photos. Buy this one...

    The Frostheater in Stinky Pete has been working great in western Canada since '05... but the province of Ontario uses chemicals on their roadways in winter to enhance poor driving skills that are very corrosive to everything automotive ;)

    I wouldn't put anybody's ATF in my manual trans...and Redline MTL will affect the 1-2 shift and selecting 1st when the temps get below -15C/5F if the rumours are true
