Oops, sorry i missed saying goodbye, thought we were meeting at statue at 12:45.
We are eating downtown anyway as son is diabetic and is running low right now after all the walking.
My son has been asking me about going to the auto show again this year, so I'll probably be meeting up with you guys again. I'll fill out the questionnaire here before too long on the other items going on.
My Honda CVT off the line isn't jumpy at all. I personally like the CVT, but if you stomp on it and expect rip roaring performance, you are going to be disappointed. Fortunately, I rarely, if ever, drive like that.
Figured I would follow up on this thread, as I've now bee in my gasoline powered Honda Accord for about 1 year following the demise of my 2013 Passat TDI..
Overall stats on the Accord
18,000 miles
31.8 MPG according to Fuelly
34.5 MPG last 10 tanks according to Fuelly.
Averaging 442 miles...
Maybe going downhill with a tailwind :)
All kidding aside, the Hybrid Accord has 0 trunk room and the rear seats do not fold down at all. That's why I bought the 2.4L gas engine version. It is averaging about 31mpg on RUG. My TDI was around 41. But unleaded has been cheaper, so my...
I am going to try to make it tomorrow, it will just be me. Sorry for not getting form done yet, I would just be meat and greet and dinner on Friday. Other stuff on Saturday.

I was very worried about this when my TDI was totaled. My cost per mile on my 2013 Passat TDI was 7.9c, while my 2016 Honda Accord is 6.4c. So, right now, the difference is obviously not what I expected,
At one point I thought I had read of a few people in the NMS Passat having HPFP failures, but it seems that this model is generally not impacted. I would put the percentage at less than 1%.
To the recent poster who got the Civic, great choice. I personally like the styling, but then again I replaced my TDI with a 2016 Accord EX-L. While I am only a averaging 31MPG in my Accord (with no highway), versus 40 in my TDI, since gas is cheaper than diesel here in michigan, my average...
I have the CVT in my Accord. I am perfectly happy with the performance. It's great in the fact that it never has to downshift when you press the pedal. And I am a very slow driver, so it's rare for my RPMs to go over 2k when I am accelerating. I can barely hear the engine or the trans...
My personal opinion, you find a salesguy you like offering a decent deal at a convenient dealership location and you go with it. These people need to make a living too, they have families to feed. If they do the legwork to find you the car, get you in test drives, etc then do the deal with...
I'm driving an Accord with the 4 cylinder. It outaccelerates my TDI.
The 0-60 on the Passat TDI is around 9 seconds. The 0-60 time on the Accord I4 is 7.5 seconds. The 0-60 on the Accord V6 is 5.8 seconds.
