I installed the 02M kit in my 99.5 and it has been great, I opted for the single mass Valero flywheel and I have to say it’s about the same if not quieter than the G60 VR6 setup I had before. So far I have put 1200 miles on the setup since install.
I just picked up a 6 speed swap kit and I was hoping the gauge the value/interest of the 02J trans swap for someone with an auto.
Details:
-G60 Flywheel / VR6 Clutch with 95k on it(changed original clutch out at 230k due to flywheel rattle)
-325k mi on trans, shifts smooth, no issues, no...
Bought mine in march of 03 with 30k. At 77k I installed RC3 with injectors. At 234k replaced the clutch only because the flywheel was shot clutch was still good. Car turned 309,000 two days ago.....gotta love it. 46 mpg as I have a heavy foot.
Alright thanks, guess i gotta find another actuator, the tune has been on since about 70k miles and its got 286k mi now, i had a gauge i was going to install, but it got lost, it really didn't seem an issue for the first 210k miles of the tune.

I have a 99.5 Jetta TDI 5 Speed with a tune and injectors and I have worked out that the most fun you can have for 40-50mpg every tank is in a diesel VW, there is no other car that can haul 5 people, a trunk full of crap available in the US that can beat it. If you are worried about reliability...

Bit of a long shot as I know they aren't sold separately but im trying to aviod spending $99 at ID parts for a new one, and my actuator is jamming, and I'm at college and books were a bit more than I budgeted for...
