When my Q5 TDI got totaled I replaced it with a GMC Acadia. It’s not a TDI but has been a good vehicle.
The wife had been saying she wanted a Beetle Convertible for years (36 to be exact) so last summer I bought her a 2013- red with tan top. Told her it was...
From Amazon: "Due to a lack of availability, we will not be able to obtain the following item from your order. We've canceled the item and apologize for the inconvenience."
Audi has the 8R0092115 hitch listed on Amazon for $855. Says it ships in "one to three months." A little pricey but may be the only option for OEM. I ordered one so we'll see if they come through.
I got the same response from my dealer last week for my '14 Q5. They said that they thought Audi was switching suppliers, and to call back in two weeks. I'm going to be pissed if they don't restock. The whole reason to buy a Q5 TDI was to pull a small trailer.
I've been driving my Q5 TDI for two years and still love it. Haven't done any of the fixes yet. Trying to put it off as long as possible. All the paperwork is filed and approved, just waiting to make the appointment.
I'm encouraged by those who noticed no difference, and apprehensive from...
If I remember correctly, I have what they called a HEX-CAN cable which only worked on some models of VW cars, not Audi’s.
If I want to use VCDS on the Q5 I’ll need a new adapter, which I understand works with iPad now. Not sure if I really need it yet.
Turned our ‘09 Jetta in 8/13/08 at South Charlotte VW. We were late because my wife’s flight the day before was oversold and she didn’t get in until an hour after appt. time. I had gone at correct time to ask if it was ok and they said yes. Very straight forward process only took about 20...
Turned our ‘09 in on Monday, had email from Chase Tuesday night at 10PM. Unfortunately Chase’s website must not like Safari, Chrome, or Puffin browsers, and I’m on the road with only my iPad.
Edit: after multiple tries it finally worked. I was unable to select radio buttons but it allowed...
With the money you’ll receive in a buyback, I would think you could move up quite a few model years with the same or lower miles. Perhaps no worry about a HPFP failure.
My ‘09 w/158k will be going soon. Been a great car but they are paying “stupid money” for it.
I sure hope so. I bought a '14 Q5 with 24k miles on it to replace my Jetta 2.0. My hope at the time of buying the Q5 was that by the time it was due for replacement VW/Audi would have diesel figured out. This announcement is a hopeful step in that direction.
Could it be that all the easy, low hanging (and thus most profitable) fruit has been picked, and working through these cases is tedious and less profitable? They've likely reassigned some of their attorneys to the next big class action suit by now...
I've had mine for six months now, and just did the 10k oil change. 32k total on vehicle.
Last tank of fuel was 37.6 mpg, with overall average 34.6. More power than gasser, better economy. What's not to like? :)
My stock Q5 just did a tank at 37.5 mpg. Mostly highway miles 60- 70 mph with some in town mixed in. No paddle shifters just normal acceration and perhaps coasting a little further than most to stops/ reduced speed limits.
I bought it last fall and the mpg has been trending "up" the whole time-...
Wow. 11%... I'd be in to pay that puppy off the very day you were eligible, and I've have a huge grin on my face when leaving.
VW seems to interact with customers begrudgingly.
I bought a '14 Q5 to replace my 2.0 with the intention of doing a DPF delete and Malone tune after "the fix" from the proceeds.
I'll be anxious to hear your feedback on this. Keep us posted!
That thing died on him so many times he was x2 past the "Lemon Law." Jeep wouldn't take it back because the fifth time was just past warranty expiration. One time it died in front of the dealer as he was pulling away from getting it fixed- no exaggeration. Another when he was driving to training...
