You never got the fix in order to trigger the warranty? I got the fix at the last moment just to trigger the warranty and buy-back provisions. I think the deadline for triggering the warranty may have been back in 2021. Hopefully I am mistaken.

If the issue was fixed, but it took more than 30 days, you could qualify for a buyback depending on when you got the EPA fix and how many miles since the fix.

The emissions settlement has its own independent buyback provisions. State law is irrelevant on a buyback under the emissions settlement.

On the plus side you have had 16 months of a free car

Audi agreed to buy my 2015 back in the summer of 2021 because the car was in the shop for a total of 34 days during the 18 months following the fix. 16 months is insane

It was bought back under the terms of the EPA settlement because the dealer had it for more than 30 days for repairs during the 18 months following the emission fix.
