Hearing louder dmf noise today after a long trip into the city. I'm looking at these two kits. Does anyone know the difference between them?. I like the spring-in-spring on the idparts kit clutch disc, but what pressure plate are they using I wonder. they don't say if it is a Sachs or Luk etc...

I have same '04 and it would sputter. mostly showed on my daily uphill grade home at 65-70mph. One day it surfaced so badly I couldn't make it home ended up being the connections at the injectors. Re-crimped the female ends connected and problem went away completely.

Better hope it doesn't happen or you'll have much more frustrating things to talk about than the impracticality of owning a diesel car. About everything you pay for will reflect the increase in diesel

I agree diesel should not anytime soon be a larger factor in depreciation than gasoline. Unless you live in California where you never know what drum they're going to beat. Could be a ban on water next. lol is why I'm sticking with my mk4! ;)

What do you guys think of Rotella T5?Looking at the oil manufacturer info T5 and T6 look fairly similar as one would suspect.

Anyone know any place that gots T6? I could sure use a gallon. I searched high and low online and I'm due for oil change. What's the next best choice ?

Agreed. I saved $1075 in fuel in 2021\, spent about $600 mostly in appreciable upgrades and only a fraction of that on diy maintenance, and the car has gone up in value somewhere probably around 20% due to the chip shortage. I'd say I'm a ways out ahead. God is good too because anything can go...

The method I use after if the above doesn't work is smack a cape chisel at an angle on the head in the ccw direction until the chisel bites good in one spot and then hammer blow the chisel there. . gives shock and directional force at once. works almost every time. ;)
