Wasnt looking to bother anyone with troubleshooting, I already know the NOX sensor is bad, I just have not taken the time to change it.
So my question was really just wondering if the adblue 200 mile count down would auto clear once the issue that caused it is corrected.
I guess I will find out...
I have a bad nox sensor in a 2013 passat that triggered a "no start in 200 miles" count down.
I waiting too long to replace the sensor. I picked one up at the dealer this morning after the countdown has begun.
Once the system is happy with the nox readings again & the reductant system is...
Do you recall what brand sensor you purchased? I see them from $150 to $550. Don't want to throw money away on one that resembles the
part, but doesn't work, However $550? Thats a bit extreme imo.
2013 CKRA setting codes
P2200 Nox Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1 Circuit
P2209 Nox Sensor Heater sense Bank 1 Sensor 1 Circuit Range Performance
5 wire plug had been replaced at some point, so I cut off the splices & soldered them. sealed with dual wall shrink wrap them to rule that out.
Wires all...
How much Coolant are you finding you can drain out? I just replaced the water pump on a CKRA, also pulled the lower radiator hose off & decided to replace the original heater core while I was at it. I was very surprised that I was only able to get just over 1 Gallon of coolant back in.
I...
Did some more searching last night & found another thread here that included a youtube video link that talked about the VW coolants & it helped me understand whats was going on with the G12-G13 I created a link for anyone in the future who has been sitting puzzled like I have been.
I have...
I just flushed out my 2013 because it has what looks like Prestones "all vehicles, All types" coolant. its that same shade of yellow.
I see Peaks pink coolant is to 2008 & their purple is 2008 & up. What are the two? Similar to G12 & G13 What changed in 2008?
If I understand correctly this date would be the 77th day of 2013? Does the -3 have anything to do with the date, or is that a shift code or something?
Its on the heater core of a 2013 passat which I believe to be original as it has the yellow assembly type markings near the clamps.
Just...
Ive been doing some searching for answers to this question, but finding some of what I am looking for
is in 5-10 year old posts. I know things change with time so I hope you don't mind me starting a new thread
on a well covered topic.
I have a 2013 2.0 CKRA TDI that has been leaking an...
Well, I just figured out out. It was because the hood was open. With the hood open the info center stay on for 5 minutes after the doors are closed. Hood Closed, it turns off with the interior lights. Kinda weird, but it appears to be ok.
Just curious on a 2013 passat, how long is the info center in the center of the cluster supposed to stay illuminated?
Getting in the car I haven't paid much attention other than it comes on as soon as you open the door, But I have not ever just sat in there and not turned on the ignition...
I was able to free up my exhaust valve with penetrating oil. Most likely that will end up being a temporary fix.
I don't have much use for a complete system, but possibly the DPF filter & the flipper valve. the turbo grenaded & sent oil into
the intercooler & exhaust. Not sure yet how much...
Quick question on the pierburg exhaust valve part number 1K0253691G in a CKRA
Can anyone tell me if the spring on the exhaust valve should open the valve completely when its not activated? Or, does it require the motor
to run in reverse to open it? Seeing there is a spring on the...
My initial thinking is to re-install the DPF, make sure the new turbo is working & allow any residual oil that made its way into the IC & intake ports, hoses etc to work its way though & then if all is well, replace the DPF after I can get some miles on the car. Given the price of a new...
I have a turbo that failed & I started removing things last night to install a new assembly. Evidence shows engine oil was exiting both sides of the blown turbo & upon disassembly I found it made its way into the particulate filter. I dumped over a quart out of the lower intercooler hose on...
