I just sent the PMs to you guys with the link. It's an .iso file that needs to be burned to a DVD in order to be read by the stereo. I haven't actually done it because who the hell actually burns things to media these days?
Yep! That was your immediate response when I messaged you about this issue a month or so back. Is there any issue with replacing one at a time or should they be done in pairs no matter what?
I've got the same issue. Issue didn't change with tire rotation. Recently replaced bushings in front end. I was just under car for oil change last week and didn't see torn boots or play in axle, but that seems to be what the issue is...I just haven't had time yet to get those changed. I can't...
separate, but related question...is this update only installed via disc? I have no way to burn the .iso to a disc because it's 2024. No machines in my house, save my son's xbox, have an optical drive.
Curious if this is the culprit for the random 'stalls' that happen after putting the car in gear. I've never experienced the loss of power at highway speeds, but definitely whenever I put the car into drive, it will very occasionally stall out. Mainly noticed it in the morning when first getting...
I just assumed since he'd gone to the dealer, he'd already looked at warranty remedies, but maybe not! If you can get it done through the dealer for no cost, that's definitely preferred!
A quick stop over at Tunezilla's site will take care of this at a fraction of the cost. And seeing as you're in Texas, no tailpipe test to worry about...
What he said.
Without putting it on the rack to check, you'll never know. It's more expensive to keep tossing parts and time at it than getting it checked. I look at my rears all the time and they look out, but the machine assures me they're right. *shrug*
Ahh, the splitting of hairs in an online forum...
As others have noted, there are multiple options that disable the software for the DEF usage in the emissions system while leaving the hardware on the vehicle intact. It is worth exploring to keep your vehicle on the road.
I just tuned it a week ago so too early to tell! My issue is since COVID I'm not going into the office (100 miles each day) as much so my fuel economy isn't the best. I'd like to go a full week commuting to see.
I think you're still covered by dieselgate per that ^
On the delete part, the other responses are dead on. I knew I wanted to delete but I had no real 'need' to until recently when the adblue tank issues came up. So I paid for the Malone tune to delete SCR, but also grabbed the full delete...
I was receiving the same issues as you. I went with Malone/Tunezilla for my Stage 2 tune. There was an option for performing the tune and disabling SCR. That turned off the light and DEF usage. Didn't see a need to throw $500 at repairing the tank (if I did it myself) when I could spend that on...
I've put 213k+ miles on my 2015. I had a lower coolant hose pop off and no issues up until recently when the DEF tank heater decided to crap out. The adblue injector was repaired under warranty a couple of years ago. I'm moving forward with a tune to tune out the adblue fault and will keep...
I'm at 213k on the clock and I received the DEF tank MIL and countdown last week. $400+ shipping for a new tank (when it's ever available) or $500 for malone tune to make it go away. I'll likely go the latter and do the full delete when the DPF kicks the bucket.
Just following up here. I ended up getting both lower assemblies replaced and an alignment for around $1100. Not as bad as originally envisioned. Plan to do end links myself.
No other suspension work on mine. I'm curious about the negative camber on both front wheels that looks like it's on the edge of being in spec according to my latest alignment. Wonder if the bushings will help with that. I've gotten two quotes but haven't yet booked it yet. The one quote is $380...
