    Upgraded fuel metering valve

The "kit" VolksCafe was talking about in his post above yours is this >>>> https://whitbreadperformance.com/products/3-0l-tdi-cp4-metering-valve-bypass-kit

    Upgraded fuel metering valve

I think (thought) he was talking about the fuel system saver (that's what I was talking about), not the CP3 kits. The CP3 kits are pretty much the same result, they all work good, fit and the big difference is the 2 different CP3 pumps used (the metering valves are specified and sometimes...

    Upgraded fuel metering valve

Same here... what are the other kits (assuming you are talking fuel system saver) are floating around as I only knew about Whitbread.

TDI Used Oil Lab Analyses Results & Discussions

For sure on both! I'm not advocating short OCI's, was just tossing the conversation out for the group. I run 10k on my DPF clad cars without issue (backed up with UOA) and for the "offroad" cars it's Delvac 1 and up to 20k (also backed up with UOA) changes. Something that is interesting is how...

TDI Used Oil Lab Analyses Results & Discussions

I mean, without an analysis, I'd figure the motor (internal mechanical wear parts) will live longer at 5 vs 10 (blindly) BUT they champion UOA to actually inform when the motor in your car, with your oil of choice, with your driving style in your climate should be changed.

TDI Used Oil Lab Analyses Results & Discussions

Fun little nerdy discussion I think you guys would appreciate! Also, anyone that has one of @Franko6 cam kits will immediately recognize the Gibbs. 😁 Cliff Notes: 1. Gibbs break in for rebuilds (for us TDI'ers , think about the "consumables" like MK5 cams) 2. Use quality additives for fuel...

    Burning smell from heat

Please keep us posted, ask for as much paperwork as they'll give you if/when you get it replaced. I did call the local dealer and service has nothing in the system about it being recalled, no TSB, no nothing. I expressed my frustrations, again, about this obvious safety hazard that Audi is and...

REALLY!!?? Calling the dealership service folks now. If you can, could you share the TSB number the service department if they gave it to you?

First time replacing transmission 2011 TDI CJAA Any advice greatly appreciated

Definitely mechatronic fail, the blinking wrench is a give away. I have used https://www.ecutesting.com/common-faults/volkswagen/vw-audi-dsg-gearbox-ecu/ to remedy without having to pay for brand new unit. They were a pleasure to work with, lifetime replacement/support and were quick with the...

Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5w-40 Safe to Use?

Yeah, I'd say "more" premature than it would normally. You definitely don't want to use the "Delvac" in a DPF car but the 5w30 is AMAZING in deleted and I'm sure the 5w40 would be as well. If you want to used good Mobil, the "ESP 5w30" in your post is what you want to use. The new OEM oil for...

Valve Cover Replacement for 2014 VW Passat TDI (CKRA Engine).

Interesting it didn't fire up right away, first tried BUT good to know you used VCDS to do it right, no playing roulette with these CP4's. 😬

    To delete or not....

Let them keep fixing (warranty on my Golf was good all the way to 217k and I had injector/thermostat/intake all replaced, just to name a few) and you keep driving loaner cars until warranty is up. There is nothing quite like a turbo to tailpipe warranty that I have seen actually used to replace...

Valve Cover Replacement for 2014 VW Passat TDI (CKRA Engine).

Did you use VCDS to clear air from the system and prime or just tried to start?

    2011 jetta tdi engine harness

I believe this is the part number 03L971627K and you can use your VIN to check here and even order >>>> https://parts.vw.com/p/Volkswagen_2011_Jetta/Engine-Wiring-Harness/47991081/03L971627K.html I just had my daughters replaced on her 350k Jetta TDI. It had rubbed through in the normal spot...

Guess what? P02149 code has reappeared once again....

Oh wow, well, since still under warranty and assuming you do get loaner every time, I'd keep taking it back. I did that on my 11 Golf TDI that was still under dieselgate warranty all the way to 217k. Lots of things >>> injector, 3 sets of DPF hardware, thermostat, intake and nice loaner cars. :)

Guess what? P02149 code has reappeared once again....

Hi Guys, I was wondering if the new engine harness WAS the issue and how your car is running now if you got it replaced, well, that and the HPFP?? I'd also LOVE to know if anyone has a DIY hidden away for replacing these old "short" harnesses with new "longer, new and improved" harnesses? Even...

Timing belt change question - freaking out!

You are right, I was working from memory (though I set in the middle or just to right) and now see "lateral offset: 5mm" in my Erwin files.

    Burning smell from heat

Did you look at it and confirm with your own eyes? Stop Sell cars were jettisoned all over the country and it's pretty easy to see if you have one if you remove the right panel on the driverside of the car and look. I think it's terrible that VW doesn't issue a safety recall for this even...
