    MPG Improved 9-10% After Towing

I tow glider trailers in the mountains and steep hills; it always runs better after a trip like that.

Frozen front suspension? - Replaced, but bad Koni customer service

I lifted my 2014 Golf Wagon (think JSW in the U.S.), and will go to taller tires mainly to get the speedo to read correctly (drives me mad) when current ones wear out. I lifted at the end of 2019. My fuelly numbers are: 2019, around 8,000 miles, 41.3 USmpg. 2020, 8,700 mi, 41.9. So far this year...

    2013 TDI Golf suddenly died

@PRY4SNO - I carry Diesel 911 in the winter, and a Stanadyne 4-dose bottle of PS White in the winter - good for 4 fills (2 in below -17C temps), and PS Silver in the summer (same container). I have helped a RAM diesel on the highway that gelled. To me, it's worth it.

    2013 TDI Golf suddenly died

OP wrote: "The temperature here in Texas dropped a couple of days ago to 0 degrees Fahrenheit and when I went to start the car it fired right up and ran for 20 seconds before it died." This is what I responded to. I contend that at 0 degrees F, he did need it. You say 911 as an anti-gel does...

    2013 TDI Golf suddenly died

If you do gel, you should consider using Diesel 911. Here's a link ( https://powerservice.com/psp_product/diesel-911/ ). I keep a bottle in my 2014, had to use it once at -38C when a station got a load of fuel without additives and didn't notice. Lots of unhappy customers! Pull the fuel filter...

    P2002 - Rawtek Delete Here I Come?

I recall reading the rpm has to be greater than 2000 rpm for a regen to occur. This is 4th or 5th in my manual 6 speed. Found it in Ross-Tech Wiki: "Regeneration while Driving Prerequisites (General): Ignition ON Engine ON (Idle) Coolant Temperature above 70 °C (see MVB 002.4) Particle...

No CEL, car goes into limp at random

Perhaps a bad tank of fuel? If the fuel filter was clogged it might explain it.

    Horrible burning chemical smell

    1. What year is your car? 2. Have you had a check engine light? 3. Do you have a way of checking codes in the engine (VCDS scan)? Regenerations are a bit smelly and the fans are bothersome. You can tell a regen is happening by a slightly increased fuel flow on the MFD, rough running at stop...

2012 Sportwgen TDI - trouble starting

Could be the intercooler water problem. Read the first post in this thread: http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=302863 . Water symptoms: "...Engine will turn over slow / not start (drowning)" Has your car had the TSB applied? If not, you might want to check to see if there's water...

    Bosal oris’s swan neck stuck

Give it a good shot of Liquid Wrench or similar, and use a good lube on the lock innards. If you haven't had it off, the lock mechanism might have a bit of rust. Or several healthy shots, over a period of days.
