I just traded mine in on a Volvo and extended the CPO warranty until 2030. VW spent over $14k in repairs on my car in the last month, and there wasn't much warranty left. So yeah. It was time.

I bought a Diehard AGM battery from Advance about a year and a half ago. I think I got an H7? It barely fit. I had to "massage" it into place. Advance said an H8 would fit, but it did not.

Seriously. It is wedged between the lower windshield and the dash, down by the base of the windshield. HOW THE F--- DO I GET IT OUT?!?!? Ahem. Seriously. Nightmare food.

If they had it over a month and still didn't fix it, take it back to them. Is yours not under the TDI warranty?

I'll sell you mine. TDI SE with 113k miles. Still has warranty until 126k. New head gasket, timing belt, turbo, water pump and DEF heater. San Antonio TX area.

Thank you all for your input. I am going to see if the dealership will replace the injectors under warranty. I am pretty sure VW is ready for this warranty to expire.

I am using liquid moly oil, of the correct specifications. It happens regardless of outside temperature, but before the engine is at operating temperature. It didn't start happening until right after 100k miles. The dealership said they did a full reset of the injectors when they replaced the...

I got it back today. Still ticking louder than it should be. It quiets when warm, but still seems loud. The dealership said there is no coolant leak, and they found the fuel pressure sensor connector loose.

It was running like one of the cylinders was cutting out. So either no fuel, air or compression. No news from the service department yet. At least the Taos they gave me gets better mileage than the Atlas did.

I took mine back to the dealership. It started losing power, missing, and then went into limp mode. Flashing glowplug light and it would not idle well at all.
