There CR190s now show unavailable on Kerma's website :(. I'm hoping it's just temporary, and that I didn't miss a chance to pick up one up. Being I already have their loader/tune and it keeps emissions this is/was the easiest path for me. I've been putting it off largely because I don't know...
That makes sense, since one fuse is feeding three 12V plugs. I'm not interested in testing to find the limit... but I wonder if the manual says anything about max wattage total and/or per plug. It really should unless one plug is capable of handling the full, let's call it 150, wattage safely.
The 12V sockets are fed by a 20A fuse so the theoretical max is 240W. Obviously we'll not get that in practice but if we conservatively aim to stay below half the theoretical max that's 120W. And you're well under half that at 45W.
I wouldn't be concerned with startup wattage (current...
That is true. But this time I'm helping someone that NEEDS to do this retrofit so that the rear USB ports will fit properly. I'm offering support for something they are ALREADY going to do... as I understand it
The reason for the missing 2% is because outside of NAR all the Golfs have Electronic Parking Brake which has a different center console.
So the obvious thing to do is retrofit Electronic Parking Brake, then the rear vent USB fit will be 100%, I can give you some pointers .
I suppose I don't know for sure. But this emblem is from the last of the Arteons and my understanding is that front emergency brake assist was standard. Assuming that is true, I guess this would have to be compatible with emblem mounted sensor. The Arteon is likely using a 2Q0 radar sensor...
A lot of tedious dremel work, but the result is good I think. Also taking apart the grill is less than fun. Facelift front emblem installed, with camera for eventual Areaview retrofit...
The touch detection only works if you also have the 2Q0 camera, which is required for Travel Assist (which uses the touch sensors instead of needing torque on the wheel).
I have recently found out, through Google Translate of a french forum, that you can have Travel Assist without traffic...
The play/pause pedals are actually for the wife's Tesla, to give it some VW ID style 😆. Those are the only mod she has authorized for that car.
The oil cap doesn't fit unless the engine cover is removed. I'm not removing the engine cover, so the oil cap is gone, haha.
As usual, I didn't do anything (yet) but I prepared do a lot of things...
Loading up and laser marking some wire for what I hereby proclaim to be my last trip through the firewall...
Battery cover, oil cap, air quality/humidity sensor, updated touch detection module (for Mk8 steering...
My 2015 Golf S has the heater. Finally confirmed (with my eyes) 18 months after the last activity in this thread, haha. Anyway, previously I mentioned that my Golf has the following PR Codes, of interest here...
OY4 - Cold and Tropical Climatic Zones (US)
7E6 - Electric Auxiliary Air Heater...
We just moved some stuff from one storage unit to one that's cheaper and closer to where we live now and the U-Haul had that gauge, it's practically all I looked at.
They offer a military discount that is the same as their best sale of the year, which for the last 3 years has been the Black...
I have no exhaust note now. Well... I do have structure soundaktor from the gassers and the external soundaktor from the GTD (wired and working but currently sitting on the floor behind my seat waiting to get an exhaust shop to mount it underneath) loaded with Lamborghini Urus firmware but I...
I did not need to read such a positive impression. And as a test of my reading comprehension, you're still running the tune from the CR150?
I suppose my only concern was possibly increased turbo lag. Not that the CR190 is a big turbo, or that I drive fast, or that I haven't driven cars with...
Correct on the screen. Plug and another one and you're good to go. I should say, if you were to run a scan after replacing the screen there will be a fault for System Version Management (SVM). This fault will cause no issues and you don't ever have to clear it, but if you want to...
If you have VCDS you can run an auto scan even if the screen does not work. If you just replace your screen with a new one that will work straight away, even if it's a screen with different buttons. There is no coding for the screen. If it has buttons for functions your car doesn't have those...
VW does have both "green" and clear glass options for every type (with rain sensor, with camera, etc.) of front windshield. I suspect the green glass is the UV rejecting, but need to dig into it.
In any case, I'm probably going to go with the clear because I do 50% on the front windshield anyway.
