Yep. Luke is great.
I'm a bit confused by your reply. Can you please elaborate? Where do I get the autoscan results? Just have an auto parts store read the codes?
Yes I bought the 2014 Audi A6 TDI sedan. It has 117,000 miles and runs great. Every now and then I get multiple lights popping up and upon asking those familiar with the car they say its most likely the wheel speed sensor. From my investigations, replacing the wheel speed sensor is easy but...
I plan to buy a 2014 Audi A6 TDI Quattro & need some input please. This supposedly has a 3.0 ltr V6 diesel. Is that correct? Does it have a timing belt or chain? What are some common mods people do to them? I assume an EGR delete is a given? What are common problems with them? I have owned a...
I'm sure this has been discussed on here many times but upon doing a search I could not find a thread on this topic so please forgive me if its a duplicate. I've owned a 2002 Jetta TDI for almost 20 years (A4 ALH) and my seats have finally worn a few holes in them. I know with the special air...
I'm sure this has been discussed on here many times but upon doing a search I could not find a thread on this topic so please forgive me if its a duplicate. I've owned a 2002 Jetta TDI for almost 20 years (A4 ALH) and have been changing my own oil in it for about 15 years. I always used either...
Well mine was the original factory O ring. I am surprised it lasted over 350,000 miles, though it has been leaking slowly for over 100,000 miles. I just kept thinking it was leaking out of the big coolant hose coming out the end of the head all this time. Now knowing its problematic I agree...
Ok, there has to be a catch. It was way too freakin easy. My local VW shop had the clip and O ring in stock for just a couple dollars each. They told me if my temp sensor was working fine to not replace it since my car had over 350,000 miles and was almost 20 years old. No need to take a...
Click on this pic and toward the bottom right corner you will see a little green part. Thats the plug that is leaking. You can wiggle it and it starts leaking G13. Its as if there is maybe a rubber O ring in it that has gone bad. Do I need to replace the entire plug or just the O ring? How...
I finally figured out where my coolant leak is coming from after a few years and over 100,000 miles of it leaking. It appears to be some type of plug with a wire coming from it that is directly below where the boost line comes out from the valve cover and goes to the brake master cylinder. I...
Ok well, while driving down the road I put on my turn signals and then tried to set the cruise but it still would not work. I am assuming there is no fuse that could be out since the cruise light on my tachometer is lit up so I guess the next step would be to replace the clutch pedal switch?
Well my car still will not start if the clutch is not pressed to the floor so the clutch sensor appears to be working correctly. Next I will try to set the cruise when I have the turn signal on.
Thanks for taking the time to reply in detail. Do you have a link you can share with me about how to properly install the clutch switch? Is it safe to assume the problem couldn't be a fuse since the cruise light is lit up on my dash? Now isn't your 2005 an A5 and if so is the clutch switch the...
I drove my 2002 Jetta TDI off the show room floor 19 years ago. For over 350,000 miles my cruise control has worked fine but yesterday all of the sudden it will no longer work. The only time I could never get it to work was when the brake light switch broke but when that happens there would be...
I went to change my air filter and noticed it had some water in the bottom of the box. Yes it had rained a couple days straight and the filter was just a little wet but I don't know if this is something I should be concerned with or not. The car is running fine. Thoughts?
Since I could not find this leak I have taken it to two different mechanics and they can not figure out this leak either. We replaced the coolant O ring on the right side of the head by the brake master cylinder but that did not fix the leak. The only time this leak happens is when I drive my...
I had the alignment done over the summer when I installed the new struts. I then had it checked again in the fall when I installed new tires. I also had it done again last month after I had the left front hub replaced. I've got a lifetime alignment warranty so typically I get it checked at...
