    HPFP timing

Hi all. I have a hopefully easy question. Doing a TB on a 2014 Passat. Everything pinned and good to go. I thought it would be a good idea to pull the timing pin on the HPFP for ease of putting on the timing belt. The timing cog moved when I did. I have it pinned back up but want to make...

    Low voltage to headlight

I've been trying to find this through search but not having any luck. I'm not good at wiring don't really like it much. However I have a 2004 Golf and the passenger side bright headlight isn't working. With a bit of checking I found that I'm only getting 7 volts to the headlight from the...

    Bad lag with new head

23 inHg of vacuum isn't enough? I will give it a try as soon as I can get a chance to get back to it. Thanks

    Bad lag with new head

Yes IP timing is set correctly. Also vacuum lines are correct and i don't see any kinks. I'll keep looking to see if i can find anything.

    Bad lag with new head

So I shortened the actuator rod on the turbo even more and it seems a little better but not quite right still. I guess my question is how much can I shorten it or does it matter. I've lost count how many turns I've shortened it. But its a lot. Doesn't seem like it should be that far off...

    Bad lag with new head

Ok. So finally got around to checking vacuum. I figured it wasn't the issue but gotta check. So right out of the N75 to turbo running group 11, its pulling 23 inHg vacuum. Actuator moves freely and hits stop at 18inHg and holds position just fine. So I'm still chasing whatever issue is...

    Bad lag with new head

Haven't checked the vacuum since it still does boost its just not the same as it was before the swap. I have replaced lots of heads and never had this issue before. Never had to adjust the actuator, never had the performance suffer like this. So I'm kinda stumped as to what is going on.

    Bad lag with new head

    power to IP then gone

When key is turned on with wire connected there is no power ever. Only power when wire is off the solenoid. I tried another solenoid and get the same thing as well as this pump was just rebuilt and checked out completely. Right now I'm trying to go through all the grounds and clean them up...

    power to IP then gone

Finally had the chance to try a new 109 relay. Thats not the problem. Same this has power all the way to the shut off solenoid until I hook it up to the solenoid and power drops to nothing. Any ideas will be much appreciated. Thanks

    power to IP then gone

I might have solved my own riddle. After looking at the wiring diagram I believe it could be the 109 relay. I will find out as soon as I can get one installed and update.
