I have no idea. Maybe the main bearings are the same size and only the rod bearings are bigger? You'd probably find a more qualified answer starting a new thread in the power enhancements area. I didn't build the block myself, so I'm just guessing.
The thread linked below is the information I have on the porting of the head. I don't have the name of the actual machine shop that did the work. Pretty sure I have the valves, lifters and dual springs and can include them, but I can't guarantee any of that is usable. The guides are all removed...
They should fit any manual Golf/Jetta/New Beetle between 1999 and 2003. If your Jetta is a TDI, they will fit.

Pretty uneventful year so far aside from having to replace a leaking clutch slave cylinder inside the 02M a coupe of weeks ago. Thankfully no fluid on the clutch! The older I get the heavier that transmission feels.
