Looks like VW has posted the Beetle will be available in August.... Found a couple links from VWoA about it... they also upped the "factory" MPG (by 1 or 2)...

I put the NOS kit from WON about 10 years ago for the TDI Fest in Grand Rapids. I had a set of chips that over fueled so that when I didn't have the nitrous turned on, it was a bit smokey.. BTW, I was able to squeek out 150hp/300tq at the wheels with the Nitrous on (and stock...
Last time at the strip, with an open diff, I was 2.33x for all 4 runs. Finished up in the 15.5 range... New Beetle, full interior... Though, I did have nitrous (just to clean up the run).. If you look around here, you'll find a video of the runs.. (TDI Fest 2002 or so.... Grand Rapids...
I haven't really been around for the last few years but I still drive a 1998 Bright Blue NB... I'll keep an eye on this thread and see if I'm in town for the GTG..

Actually, for drag racing you would probably get better results with a quaife (or equivalent). Tire spin was my single biggest problem. need to get the 60' under 2s...
