    A/C Troubleshooting - Clutch not engaging and fans not turning on -No ground to T4/2

    Found S180 fuse (green 30A) above the battery had very slight terminal damage from overheating. A quick clean up of the terminals and my Rad fans are now operational as well as my AC clutch . Back on the road .

    Check your radiator/condenser fan operation NOW

    Both fans not working with ignition on and blower on low, also AC Clutch not engaging. Found S180 fuse terminal damaged from excessive heat. A quick clean up of the terminal and all is operating normal. THANK YOU !! great advise .

    Chasing same problem as we speak, my clutch will not engage (2001 TDI ). Getting 8.8 V to the coil, coil Ohms out fine @ at 4.5 , Jumper coil direct from battery and it engages fine. Now chasing the lack of Voltage. Sanden .com sight very helpful thank you wrenchman30 .

    Nice job, respectable resolve . I have yet to find Power getting to my glow plugs , replaced the relay and fuse bar at the battery are intact. was going after the temp sensors next , anything I am missing ??

    PLace the key in the ignition in the on position for 10 minutes , the symbol should stop flashing , may take longer up to 20 minutes. When it stops flashing she will crank.

    if you leave the key in the ignition in the on position, eventually you will see the symbol on the dash stop flashing , typically takes 10 minutes. Somtimes longer . When it stops flashing the car will start. this will just get you to point B , no telling when it will happen again.

    Shutter valve is normally open, u should be able to tell if it is open before u start the car. Mine sticks closed some times and it will pop open with a touch of the lever on the side .     Is there any way to deactivate the imobilzer? 2001 tdi reads my key intermitently. The dealer re programmed the keys after I had to have it towed there. That lasted one week, then back to the dealer for two weeks, they said they found a chaffed wire BS one month later it sits in the parking deck...

    Starts and shuts off .

    Help, 2001 1.9 , The car will start but shuts off immiediatly as if it is running out of fuel. This is intermittent and may not occur again for several weeks. It is pumping fuel, and when it is running I am seeing air bubbles in the fuel line ? THx-new guy Ken - Atlanta , GA
