Are you sure it's the oil filter housing that broke? It is aluminum on this car. The accelerating on it's own and the starter issue needs some attention. We would need more info.

You should be able to give the shield a little push with a screwdriver through the wheel. I think they usually rub near the ball joint area.

There may be some that would work. A gas car has three lines because the EVAP and there may be differences because the fuel filter is at the rear of the car. I could check tomorrow and see if they are still available.

I've never found the unplugging the MAF test to be very helpful. Some possible causes of low power are the MAF sensor, poor vacuum, intake leak, clogged fuel filter and a clogged intake. Do you have any codes? Most low power issues are caused by vacuum issues. An easy test is to make sure there...
