The Repair Manual: Generic Scan Tool - CJAA (ed. 02.2018, pp 116-17) describes several triggers for DTC P2002 (and MIL ON after 2 driving cycles (DYCs)):
1. Differential pressure signal < f(exhaust gas volume flow) or Accumulated loading increment from differential pressure < 1.0 g, when:

After a little googling, I found this thread regarding the DPF differential pressure sensor: https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/19803/

And this SSP: http://www.volkspage.net/technik/ssp/ssp/SSP_336.pdf...
@calimustang : Well, I'm coming to realize that not all DTCs have descriptive text that are completely accurate (like P2002). In this case, we saw a max fault frequency of 4, which triggered the MIL on. The next weekend we had an overnight out-of-town with a solid 3+ hours of 2K+ RPM highway...

The original t-stat in our '11 wagon started to fail in a similar fashion last summer/fall. They don't last forever. If you're not measuring approx 87C/188F coolant temp at highway speed, you're likely ready for a new t-stat. --g
Find the Refrigerant Pressure reported at Address 08 from high pressure sensor G65, e.g.:

At 68F (20C) ambient, this should be (at least) 4.0 bar. --g
We found our high-miles '11 6MT wagen in west Michigan in Aug '20 -- drove 3+ hours to test drive it. We were replacing a 5MT gen 2 CR-V and wanted (1) MT & (2) comparable space to haul our sailing stuff -- the Golf Variant (AKA JSW) is still the only non-SUV that ticks those boxes for us. Put...
Our recent experience:
Broken was from the left rear -- the newer spring was replaced during an insurance repair last fall when the shop found that spring broken in a similar fashion -- alas, I didn't ask for the spring back when we got the car back (so we have a new OE "spare" in our garage...
@rhskcdn : Both rear springs in our '11 wagen were found broken (both in the lower last turn of the coil) last fall. A pair of equivalent Febi Bilsteins from FCP Euro beat the cost a single OE spring from our local VW parts counter (and didn't require a four-wheel alignment). --g
@dbeeby2 : My recollection is that the chassis ground for the front passenger seat may be behind the lower right A pillar kick panel. It's easy enough to get at for inspection (much easier than the driver side due to the front lid release lever, IMO). You might also pull F29 in Panel B to...
@dbeeby2 : This was discussed here recently; see this post: https://forums.tdiclub.com/index.php?threads/driver-side-power-recline-not-working.521307/post-5725556
Both front seats are powered by the same S44 thermal fuse; you should expect to find Terminal 30 (unswitched) power on the red/black...
First follow-up: We put 300+ miles on our wagon since yesterday, and the fault frequency didn't change:
Before the leaving, we had this:
1 Fault Found:
008194 - Particulate Trap Bank 1
P2002 - 007 - Efficiency Below Threshold - MIL ON
Freeze Frame...
We'll see -- we're leaving soon for an overnight out-of-town, so will have plenty of 2k+ RPM highway travel between now and tomorrow evening. With the (new) loose soot in the tailpipes, I'm not optimistic. --g
We had our local NW OH dealer replace the DPF and thermostat in our '11 wagon at the end of October after living with P2002/P0401/MILs for almost 7 months after our extended warranty expired in March '22. Now not quite 7 months and 2,500 miles after that repair, the MIL came on today during a...
Still, you should clear all codes, in any case, since you have a base line report.
The important point is that some (many?) are old DTCs that may not be relevant to your current no-start condition.
In any case, regarding the BCM, the basic config information is contained in the Coding string...
