I don't know if I had changed something with VCDS prior to installing these, but I don't have a code yet. (I think when I installed my license plate leds I changed something...but heck if I know where I kept that info)
It was literally an H7 led bulb swap.
I bought some LED bulbs for my low beams.
They were 30$ and a direct plug and play H7 bulb (but not halogen).
Do you think there are any heating concerns about using this led in the low beam cartridge?
Why I ask... I noticed a lot of LED H7 replacement options have heat sinks and fans and...
That is what mine looked like at 155k miles. I read the pains others went through and had someone do it for me. He said he needed to lift the transmission and inch to get the driver's side out. 2013 Passat
The Mevotech LCAs are good quality. Both Mevotech stabilizer links had bad joints. Bad popping. Had to take them off and bought VW ones.
Now all rides smooth. Feels like I fixed a bad balance on the tires also. Assuming it was the worn bushings on the control arms.
Don't ask about the intake...
Rockauto by the way... I ordered the parts on Thursday, got the LCA's on Friday and the stabilizer bars on Saturday. Super fast standard/cheapest shipping.
I ordered some Mevotech Supreme control arms. They were $100 on RockAuto. Lifetime warranty. Made in Canada and comparable to Moog (non-China)...so says the internet.
The price range for control arms is pretty varied. I thought the same thing about replacing the bushings... when you add it all up, almost at the cost of a new aftermarket control arm.
The VW ones.... is it worth double the cost? I see TRQ come up a lot in a basic search. Everyone claims...
I originally brought it in for a squeaky squeak when the weather started getting cold.
It only makes the noise when going forward.
I just had someone show me, when driving at just ~5 mph and hitting the brakes somewhat hard, both front wheels shift backwards (1/2" to an 1" maybe), before the...
Water pump was the culprit. I don't like how the reservoir went to tan though. He said maybe that is what pushed back in it from the engine side. Whereas usually straight coolant is in the tank.
Local shop, not dealership. Thought it was a little high..:
Water pump
Serpentine belt
Serpentine...
This is where the oil filter housing is, right? That is dry.
Would the valve cover give me coolant issues also? I thought that would just paint the engine with oil.
This is so frustrating because I meticulously maintain my car my car.
I felt all around it. It didn't feel wet. The engine (back) by the firewall and dpf is dripping. Maybe on the side where the serpentine belt is But can't see exactly where it is coming from.
I would hope that would be the oil cooler though. Much cheaper!
