Any new updates that are worth it? I still dont have Intake Temp. but apparently that has since been added? Just wanted to see if anyone had some information before I put my lower dash back together
I updated this past week from 1.8 to 2.4 and it was a huge improvement. Font and layout is more mk7 style then the previous mk6 style. Only 4 parameters per page instead of 5, and now the third parameter is larger so it is much easier to see my EGT values. Still no intake air temp but the boost...
I love being able to beat able to beat my buddies Civic SI or some unsuspecting WRX. Then turn around and get 40+ mpg while they are below 20 mpg after one pull.
Laugh out loud to this entire situation. I purchased Polar the first day Kerma released it and it was about june/july before I could even get it to work. I had the similar electrical problems and my car battery probably would have died if I didnt drive it everyday. When I had my ticket with...
Got home last night and their "Online Updater" did not have an option for the V0.1.9 firmware that contains the "fixes". Just waiting for them to add it real quick and then I can hopefully use the $300 device I paid for hahahaha
AutoPolar has been great with responses etc. Since they are across...
I have been in contact with AutoPolar directly since the day Kerma offered it for the MQB platform. AutoPolar just released a new revision that supports mine, as well as other none supported ECU's. I was also informed that now we simply select which type of screen we have (white, multicolor...
Finally got to connect PolarFIS without the repercussions. However, I only see km/h and after talking the AutoPolar we discovered my ECU is not supported by the software. Assuming I am not the only one with this problem. A firmware update will be available in a few days and they have confirmed...
I am taking the car to a local 1/4 mile strip for test & tune the 18th of July. Will try leaving in sport and then again using the malone launch control. Hoping to break into the 14s or is that a long shot? I am going to remove rear and passenger seats along with subs etc.
So far, the gauge is very responsive. As you will see from my pic later I did a temporary install for now and will clean it up. That Darkside mount seems legit though and the "proper" route to go. Hope I dont run into that air reroute you mentioned
Yeah I will snag a picture for you after work today! Might not be the prettiest but it works. Yeah I am just now going to be able to plug mine in tomorrow. Will be leaving my lower dash torn apart until updates come for the FIS.
I have a stock fender sub setup I was trying to get rid of if you wanted to make it work. Fender sub and the plastic ring enclosure used to hold sub and keep donut down. If there is no harness though, not sure you want to deal with all that.
Got my Newsouth Boost Gauge installed finally (sorry about crappy iPhone pic). I added a T into the MAP sensor line and the rest was very simple. I am still in contact with Kerma and now AutoPolar to figure out PolarFIS issues but it is leaning towards a damaged unit.
I have had my lower dash apart since last Tuesday now. When I connect my Polar FIS, my car is not happy. Headunit is on constantly, big spark when I connect battery and nothing loads on headunit. It tells me to"switch on the ignition to adjust settings" when I am driving down the road. Trying to...
Got my car back last night and installed Polar FIS. Headunit freaked out and nothing loaded under telephone. Immediately uninstalled and car went back to normal.
My buddy will absolutely baby his Civic SI for one tank and brag about his 32 mpg (normally 22-25 mpg). This is pushing clutch in on downhill and mostly 70-75 mph. I got 38 mpg going to school with cruise set at 82 plus stop/go traffic lol I just nod and say good job to him as he pays $3.50 for...
