Hey guys,

I am having an issue where the P2015 (Intake Manifold Flap Position Sensor (Bank 1)) code keeps coming up, and I can't figure out what is causing the issue.

When I look at the Ross-Tech website (http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/18447/P2015/008213) it says:

"When found in a VW Golf/Jetta (1K): 1.9l PD-TDI (BRM), check Engine Control Module (ECM) Software Version:
  • 03G-906-016-AB @ 7328 or 7550 as well as 03G-906-016-AC @ 7280 or 7551 do have a Software Error which requires a special Adaptation for the Intake Manifold Flap Motor (V157) which at this Point can only be performed with the Factory Tool."
I checked and I have that version of the software.

Does anyone know if there is a TSB that discusses the need to have the software updated? I looked all over and can't find anything.

Any suggestion on how to get the dealer to update the software?

Is this a serious or minor code? I can't afford to get my car fixed right now so it's either don't go to work or drive it with the issue

I'll repeat... Order and install the DieselGeek P2015 Manifold Fix -Problem solved!

Or, if you are still under the dieselgate extended warranty go see the dealer and they'll replace the whole intake.

dropping off the car tomorrow, hopefully they don't try to screw me on my extended warranty (I have about 500 miles left on it)

Guess they won't do the work under warranty as even though the car meets the mileage criteria for the 48000mi ext. warranty, it doesn't meet the 4 year extension window. guess I'm gonna slap that diesel geek bracket on and cross my fingers

Does anyone know what the spring part number or where I can get one? Of course, I was adding the bracket and the spring fell somewhere in the engine and cannot locate the spring.
