Okay thank you. Do I take it out and run a hose over it or something like that? Also how do I cycle the key? Will that allow it to start?

I've read some about this but I couldn't find anything specific to a 2012 a3. I was wondering what it would take to fix the issue. The car doesn't start and doesn't wanna go anywhere when I hit the gas. I've never owned an audi let alone a diesel so i'm a might bit confused and unsure about this...
