Ok, I think I know where it is now. When I was under there a couple of weekends ago checking the plugs I noticed a couple of "plugs" and wasn't sure which one was the coolant temp sensor. I think I remember that one and will have to check that out this weekend. Thanks again Oilhammer.

Well, I'm not picky. My preference would be the OEM Chrome version or the three red letters (I know they have hp meaning...but thought it would look good on Techno blue)...but I really don't care as long as I can put TDI on the rear hatch.

I use the soot method on the lower left part of the bumper, or just watch for a slight puff of sooty smoke at take off. I'm tired of my NB not declaring itself a TDI so I'm going to break down and buy a TDI emblem when I find one at a reasonable price. Hence the thread I started.

Has anyone seen the TDI emblem for sale anywhere recently. A while back I think worldimpex had a red one on special for ~$5 and I didn't end up getting one. I'm looking to put one on my NB now and looking for the best price so if anyone has a link they can provide....I would appreciate it.
