    Egr and catalytic converters delete

It doesn't. The two reason I'm thinking about it are mileage and maybe get better flow/less back pressure.

    Egr and catalytic converters delete

Hey guys. I got 05 (B5.5 PD) TDI I've already delete my EGR, but I kept my valve plugged in so car won't go in to limp mode. I opted out of getting the tune for now since I don't really mind CEL light. But I'm toying with idea of cutting out my catalytic. Car has 205xxx miles and it's daily...

TDI Used Oil Lab Analyses Results & Discussions

2005 VW Passat TDi with 200xxx miles on. Up until 180xxx miles was maintained by Dealer/VW shop that put only VW specified oil. As soon as i got it i changed to Rotella t6. I not sure if I haven't specified clear enough or they messed up but for some reason they tested it as Gasoline oil. Not...

    2.0tdi cbbb egr delete

The kit ingot came with 3 block off plates to close all the exhaust ports and L elbow for EGR cooler re-rout. I left my valve plugged in. I zip-tied it so it doesn't bounce around and it just opens and closes without damaging anything. I do have CEL light on and it comes up with MAP sensor air...

Noticeable vibration and blow back after EGR delete.

I see what you saying. And that's what I was afraid. But I'm just curious about the science behind it. What does software do to make it run better?

Noticeable vibration and blow back after EGR delete.

I do have a code. And I don't remember the number. It was due to airflow something. Came up as soon as I removed EGR.

Noticeable vibration and blow back after EGR delete.

Hey guys, I got 2005 Passat B5.5 with 195k. I've deleted EGR about 3000 miles ago and it was probably 75% clogged. Only thing I haven't done yet is tune. So I do have check engine light on and that's okay for now, I'll be getting "stock" malone tune later. I've been noticing that I have more...

    BHAF for B5.5

Thank you guys for your reply. I'll be keeping that stock box with good filter in for the life of that vehicle. It is my fun daily driver to work and back and definitely not looking to mess with it. I love my 37mpg and will see if I get any more after EGR delete.

    BHAF for B5.5

I never used or will use oiled filters. But I'm researching to see if I want/need to do MAF delete also.

    Passat aftermarket exhaust

Would you recommend just cutting of the muffler and leaving it like that? Would I get a little better tune out of exhaust? Skittles turbo whistle?

    BHAF for B5.5

No. It's my daily driver so I'll keep it as stock as possible.

    BHAF for B5.5

Is there a such thing as BHAF (big honking air filter) for TDI's? It's pretty big in diesel truck community and since I got EGR deleted I'm thinking about getting MAF sensor delete and also getting rid of stock air box. Just to make that diesel breath a little better.

    Passat aftermarket exhaust

Hey guys. I'm curious if it's worth for me buying a whole new exhaust or should I just do a muffler delete? I want to get a little more sound out of my B5.5 2.0 tdi wagon, but I drive a lot on freeway and don't want the drone (I do love my podcasts). Would deleting a muffler get me a better...
