So if a car has 20,000-30,000 miles on it and it's a 2014 which one would it get? 120,000 or 48,000?

This board is very informative but is one of the most ridiculous online communities I have ever been apart of. I love my TDI but because I cannot pass up the offer that VW is giving me I can't wait to get rid of it so I can get away from this community.

Is it true that a GTI only uses premium fuel? I have heard that you can put 87 octane in a GTI but it will hurt performance. If that is true, would that hurt anything mechanically in the car?
