Not mechanics fault. Not my first rodeo with timing belt and front side TDI maintenance. Been changing timing belts, with proper tools, b4 TDI's existed. But, thanks for your snarky comment. It really added value to this thread.

Haven't had a chance to pull the head yet. But, there is not a single cam follower intact. Only one still in it's bore is #1 intake. Rest are scattered and shattered. Hoping to get the head pulled Friday.
