    I'm in the process of putting a 1.9 alh (02 jetta) into a Suzuki Samurai. I need room where the alternator is, so I'd like to put it on the other side ( passenger side) any help on this would be appreciated! THANKS

    THANKS, for the response. There really is a lot of research to be done. I'm now looking into a standalone set up. I guess you might say I'm looking at options to make the best decision.
