BTW, Nitec, you should have a BNIB A/C compressor in one of the boxes... I ended up not needing it. I bought it on spec while troubleshooting what ended up being the MUCH more affordable harmonic balancer belt. Those clutchless compressors are $$$, even refurb'd.
Just a 2-pin connector on the motor.
We also replaced the dash switch - same problems.
I'd thought battery as well, but it's only a year old, and these niggly issues pre-exist the new battery. I still think it's something related to battery (alternator?), but neither of us can really...
Helping out a friend with an EPB fault (2007 B6 wagon). VCDS reports the following:
02433 - Supply Voltage for Right Parking Brake Motor (V283)
012 - Electrical Fault in Circuit - MIL ON
Running through the diagnostic (from Ross-Tech), he can hear the motor moving, but it fails...

CEL came on about a ~week ago - along with an "Emissions Workshop!" warning in the FIS, which I thought was a bit odd - and the code was:

Thinking on this now... I wonder if there was enough thread to jam the two top strut nuts together on the damper shaft and be able to apply enough torque to get the stubborn inner nut off?
In case it's not been covered elsewhere in the thread... how to handle stripping the damper shaft Allen head...
I had to replace front springs on my Koni FSD/Eibach kit this past weekend - both front springs were broken, both at the exact same point where the spring leaves the strut perch...

Well... jury is out on gelled fuel, because all it took to get going was ~4 hours on the Zerostart coolant heater. I'd pulled the TB cover just to confirm it wasn't something that catastrophic (it's amazing what wild conclusions you can fabricate for yourself to worry about...), and seeing that...
