fuel filler flap frustration

I find it a royal pain in the keister. Just bought a 15 Passat TDI and had one hell of a time filling the tank for the first time. I'm considering removing the restrictor however with the 2 year CPO, it's good advice to keep the thing handy. Thanks for the info!
