    First Audi A2 TDI pics

George: The A2 is narrower and shorter outside than my Golf IV was. It is noticibly taller, so the suspension is less compliant to decrease lean and increase stability on corners. It is about the same length and width as my daughter's 95-01 Polo, but taller, and notcibly longer than our Lupo...

Golf IV TDI's with odd bodies you never saw before.

Golf IV TDI\'s with odd bodies you never saw before. One you can buy in the Republic of Ireland at http://www.volkswagen.ie/models/golf_van/golfvan.jpg An even stranger one you can buy in Holland...

Nice article on Lupo - 92.5MPG

The Lupo TDI's will run on everyday European diesel fuel - low sulphur of course. A Lupo is very small - more like a 1960's Mini than the new Mini. They have a good crash report in European standard tests. But 2,38 litres per 100 kilometers at an average speed of 85 kilometers per hour is not...

    First Audi A2 TDI pics

Two pictures of my Audi A2 1.4 TDI at http://www.00000.org/tdiforumpics/new-a2-tdi-rear.jpg http://www.00000.org/tdiforumpics/new-a2-tdi-front.jpg If you buy one of these cars you are buying it for the styling, technical wizardry, eg the aluminium body and frame, it's the most streamlined...

    Golf TDI GTI 115bhp

SkyPup is obviously getting carried away. I'd love to see him in his TDi-powered submarine, chugging 250 miles OVERLAND to Luxembourg from the North Sea. I can think of a better ride...

    Can you explain the sound...

Our Lupo SDI (naturally aspirated 1.7l diesel) makes loud chugging noises, like a tractor, that you can even hear inside the car. Of course the noises are most noticible when it is cold. Our Golf TDI only makes half the noise, and very little when the car is warm. Why the difference??

Pics of 3L Lupo TDI, 150 hp TDI & 115HP tdi

dzcad90 You are right. From the outside they look like a 60's English mini got mated by an E-class Mercedes (sorry, sky-pup.) They sound like a '50s VW beetle got mated by a Honda 50 moped. But IMHO they are as desirable as a 60's miniskirt driving a '50's VW beetle (sorry... but I do think...

Cold weather mileage - anyone try blocking their radiators?

Try driving the first mile without the heater on - if it is cold enough out for the car to warm slowly (but warm enough not to frost the windshield.) In London England, where it never normally goes below 30 degrees F or above 75 degrees this is far enough to push the temperature needle a third...

    My new BORA 115hp TDI

Very nice car. It will look even better in the summer sunlight. Now make everyone in North America jealous by telling them how long it took to order a car with all the options you wanted...

    You want colour choices ?

It has to be said that most of the "colour concepts" look a little LOUD...

    '00 Golf GL black/black

Re: \'00 Golf GL black/black Norman's right about the VIN number. To get closer than that you have to start looking at the date codes on individual parts. Or does someone have a way to decipher the codes on the build slip, or other method of telling you exactly when the car was built?
