For reference, I did get the codes checked again. It was P0672 and P0674, cylinder 2 and 4 glow plug circuit.

Okay. I can see how my statement could be taken wrong. I meant don't contemplate doing a full timing belt job including all relevant replacement parts, JUST do it. In no way, would I recommend JUST replacing the timing belt alone. That was unclear.

Thanks for the fuel advise. For those who use Mobil 1 TDT 5w40, it's on special at autozone right now. The price on display is $29.99 on the shelves. It rings up at $12.99. The employee who checked me out double and then triple checked to make sure the price was right. I bought out the store...

There are also glass replacement lenses available. This is a thread with an install video. http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=318880 I have no personal experience with the glass replacement lenses that this thread shows. I am just pointing out that this is another option.
