  • The tool I bought for this will align the seal to the shaft and locate the ring to top dead center but will not sink the ring past the end of the crank. What is the purpose of the 0.5mm space and how do I achieve this?
Any help you can give would be appreciated.
    Thank you

I don’t know. Making a post on the A5/ mk5 Jetta section will yield the best results
Good morning. I am new to the forum (yesterday). I am trying to replace the rear main seal assembly on my 2006 Jetta TDI 1.9 BRM engine. All the video I can find says the distance between the crank shaft end and the speed sensor ring must be 0.5mm.
