    2001 VW Jetta TDI maintenance

    Oil(505.00) and filter every 10k. Fuel and cabin filter every 20k. Air filter every 40k Timing belt every 100k. Do you know when the last time the timing belt has been changed in the vehicle? If not I would do that right away.

    2002 Jetta Trunk latch

    Does it happen under all circumstances? When you unlock the car, start the car, car is running? Sounds like a bad ground or a bad switch but hard to say without knowing more.

    5w-30 ok?

    I use 5w30 in my BEW all the time. As long as it is a 505.01 you will be fine. 5w40 is better in some conditions but 5w30 works great for me. I wouldn't worry
