I would pull out the blower and test it on the bench. It is just a simple electric motor. also test if you are getting power to the plug. Simple to get at it. Just above the front passengers feet. Sometimes getting it back in can be tricky.

2006 Golf TDI GLS in SoCal - $6500 I am selling my 2006 Gold TDI GLS. Pd motor. 4 door automatic (Jatco 09A transmission, not the 01M time-bomb). the car is fully loaded and anthracite blue in color. I changed the TB at 94k miles with a TB kit from IDParts and the car has about 161k on it now...

That sucks! I still miss the performance of that car. It was fun to drive.

22lb I think the starter is easy to replace with the clutch out so I would plan to do that at the same time. It is original and a pain to access so worth doing at the same time in my opinion.

Need to put in a larger clutch. The LUK is right on the bubble or holding back the mods. I would give IDParts a call and give them a rundown of the mods i listed. - PP520 injectors - 11mm IP - RocketChip stage 3 chipped - Stock turbo
