I'm in the same boat except I've already bought my diamond in the rough. Now I'm trying to determine if I'm in over my head. I'm stubborn though so I'll probably ride it out.

I bought an 02 Beetle TDI/5spd for a swap. The motor turns over with a braker bar on the crank. I plan on a stand alone harness for the swap. Here's my quandary, there are fuses everywhere and it looks like there might be some things unplugged, so I doubt I can get it to turn over let alone run...

I only thought it was low mile. The inst cluster shows 145K. It's a parts car. DS rear fender is busted and DS door has a dent. Everything else body wise is decent. Sun roof or moon roof. It's a parts car.

I hate to do it but I think I'm going to have to buy a new battery to find out anything.
