Where is the best place to find this hardware?

Thanks,

If you want the best, get the OEM ROW solution from Westfalia
5C6803881
Used euro market would be your best source as I don't know if you can find it on this side of the pond.... unless someone already had it and it's selling as used ..... but there are plenty of aftermarket or custom made solutions too, depending on your budget and preference.

Westfalia is the best for our cars. Just please be careful and do not drive it like a slushbox auto. I would drive by manually selecting gear to MAKE it start in first and make that clutch fully engaged ASAP. Then keep RPM at a minimum of 2k if any load is being applied.

Best of luck

2014 malone stage 2 + DSG tune. Westfalia kit. Soon to have rawtek also. Pretty simple, put it in sport mode and drive. You can drive in manual mode if you want.
Also snagged a deal on Amazon with a rear airlift 1000 kit for $93 cdn/ $73 USD. Waiting til spring to install
where did you source the hitch id like one

Thanks for the info. That's exactly what I needed.
I think I'd just use it for a bike rack extra luggage space.
I forget that I can shift the DSG manually!
Is it harder on the tranny to do that?

Being able to put a bike\storage rack on hardly qualifies as towing..... but I'm sure the OEM option should suffice 🙄

I would consider adding the towing kit spring kit from idparts as well as a torklift (I think) 2" hitch receiver.

I'm going to be in the Netherlands next week.
That part number doesn't show up anywhere.
Given that the VW Jetta/Bora isn't numerous in Europe, what's the part number for European dealers?

I was just wondering whether someone can pick up VW parts
if they happen to be in Europe and can ship it back as a part of normal airline baggage.
Perhaps there should be a thread about this: parts available in EU countries that aren't available in North America.

Please wear a GoPro and record the events as you "check your baggage" containing an OEM trailer hitch..... it sounds like good entertainment. 😁
