What vehicle did this rear hatch come from on my 03 Wagon?

It has a spoiler on the top which is broke and I figure it would be best to remove.

Yep. Just wondering why someone would go through extraordinary steps like this if the car is in the USA. Is this hatch from Europe or did someone go out of their way to get a Bora logo along with a red tdi emblem on there as well as the rear spoiler?

Does the plate tub look wide enough to support a European plate? If not, assume it’s an North America hatch with Euro badging and a spoiler.

Pretty sure it's a US gate. I think the euro ones have a wider license plate area.

Many parts of the car seem to be. I like not having to worry about door dings or where I park. Bumpers...lol. I deliberately kept mine completely out of the pic. There is nothing left of it.
