Hey guys have a turbo coming in tomorrow from kermatdi fast as hell shipping by the way 3 days.. But anyways I paid a total of 1608.56 Canadian for a vnt17 with the braided line and stock tubing adapter for ALH also a 3 bar map sensor. Another thing I guess would be how are you guys enjoying the vnt 17 and what are the numbers people have with them. I will be going bigger injectors and tune also clutch but i can go all local for that

98 Jetta TDI AHU 1.9L (944 TDI swap in progress) I moved so now i got nothing but an AHU in a garage on a pallet.
Ouch. That sucks. I would not have paid that much. Kerma is awesome but a near 700 difference?

The vtn 17 is a awesome turbo. You wont be able to max it out for quite a while. Something like 400hp+ was made on these but that was extreem. Normal would be about 280 to 300 max

my mistake, i thought that link that Rrusse11 posted was a 17, not a 17/20, i should have noticed that they are not the same turbo lol, so not apples to apples, but more like apples to applesauce.
my bad. at least i'm not the only one!
and it was $975 vs $1,608 is $633, and i said near $700 difference. But the VTN17/20 is still a better turbo upgrade and for much less so i stick by my comment (sorta).
Can you link to the turbo you got from kerma because when i look at the vtn 17 they have for sale its $1,130, not $1,608 CAD??? Or did you get the one that is a billet vs the cast?
I don’t know about those number mongler...over 200hp seems to be pushing it on a vnt17/22 let alone on just a vnt17.
your right.
i was refering to that NOS and c3h8 boosted mk4 that was posted not too long back, and i was mistaken as well, i was thinking the torque #'s, still 318 HP at the wheels on a 17/20 is nuts

Yea, same I was looking at. Says $849 usd, that's $1,129 cad according to google. What's the deal?
I'd still go with that 20/17 though. Much better imo

I feel your pain. 2006 Golf BEW. I bought a Garrett VNT17, braided oil supply line and EGR pipe from Tunemyeuro and it was over 1600.00 CDN. I knew that going in. Exchange rates suck!!! Then you add shipping and duty charges.

Mongler, 318hp on a 17/20 is crazy! I didn’t see anything on that car! A friend of mine had the 17/26 on his golf and blew it apart in about a year. His ALH is probably 220hp and ended up just going with a GTB2260. Now it runs really good.
