Come and enjoy the fall colors in West Michigan, while socializing and light wrenching on TDI's w/ good TDI folk!

Saturday, October 18th, 2014 - (2nd Annual)
9am to 7pm

11877 Ritchie Ave NE, Cedar Springs, MI 49319

(if anybody needs better directions than this, pm or email me, and I'll send you out a pdf map)

We will have a good outdoor fire going all day long, some white bean chicken chili in the pot, and some other light fixin's.

Bring your own beverages, and if you'd like to bring a dish or snack to share, feel free.

ADDED: I believe Chris Thompson (username CTTDI) will be here (as he was last year) with used Mk4 parts galore for sale, so put your used parts shopping list together.

ANOTHER EDIT: If you are interested in a tune, see post #34 of page 3, where I'm adding names of users interested in getting a tune to a running list - and then please respond with a post with your interest - then I will add your name to the list

AND YET ANOTHER EDIT: - Jeff Robertson from Rocketchips has indicated that he is coming - get your Tunes, here!

Yeahhh! we will be there. Your timing is exquisite as our anniversary is October 15th so we will be somewhere Lake Michigan north or south of you prior to dropping in on Saturday.

I will be there, maybe we can find an AC specialist to attend? I will start saving my fuel money for the trip up!

Anybody have a favorite barbecue sauce? If yes let me know as we are bringing slow cooked pork Boston Butt which is the tastiest cut that will fall apart after about 8 hours at low heat.

Did someone say bbq pulled pork? Count me in! Definitely will try to make it this year with my rusty old JSW. Or perhaps by then I will have it fixed up all shiny and new. Looking forward to meeting some of the local (and not so local) yokels.

hmmm should I do one or two Boston Butts for the pulled pork. (15 or 30 pounds maybe I should go with two) I will have to see how much I can get into our 22 quart roaster.

We are bringing plates, napkins, utensils, and buns. The rest of you should bring potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans, chips, which can all be store bought.

Kirk is the gracious host and we should feed him.

Oh hopefully there is a place to get more buns if we run out.

There's the Meijer's at 17 Mile Road off US 31 6 miles away to the north of Kirk's plus another one at 10 Mile Road off US 31 just over 8 miles away. Both are open 24 hours and carry groceries so we should not be bunless if someone can make a "Bun Run" if we run out... ;)

Brandon maybe you and I can car pool?

Mike
Oh, you and Brandon are funny guys, haha! (being about 8 miles away)
Maybe those two carpoolers taking the L-O-N-G eight mile epic journey can do the Bun Run as they will be saving that much on fuel unlike the rest of us coming from further away. :p

I like Famous Dave's Devil's Spit which is a nice HOT sauce!

You might need to get the Devil's Spit yourself as my wife will not eat it and while she is not eating all of it she is my beloved. Great news about the buns as we will be getting plates and silver ware at the GFS here.

Chris, no one will have to make a trip for buns, we'll have plenty on hand, thanks for your gracious offer of the BBQ - sounds good.
