Hey New Englanders! I had a semi-emergency situation this week. On my way to work Monday, my U-joints started making a horrible noise and I thought I was going to have to give AAA a call. However, I checked the Trusted Mechanics listings in the area and found Mr. Volks - Bob Mann only a few minutes away. He got me in immediately and even set me up with a loaner vehicle while he got my Passat back in shape. I picked it up today and the work was top notch. Bob's the Real Deal, very accommodating and very easy to work with.
Thanks again Bob!

I have been working on Volkswagens for over 20 years. I have experience working on MkIII thru MkVI TDI's. I utilize VCDS with a HEX+CAN cable. I have DSG service tools and supplies. I have many TDI special tools and always take the time to do the job right. I work out of my garage/shop so my fees are very reasonable.
When there is no TDI specialist nearby, then you need to find the very best mechanic in town even if he is not a VW expert. You also need to become as well-informed as you can about your own car. Between you and your mechanic, and with help from TDIClub, you should be able to avoid the VW dealerships. That will be one of your highest priorities, because the best dealerships will just take your money, but the rest of them will wreck your TDI.Any one know of a good mechanic in Lubbock or Amarillo, TX?
Thanks

This shop and the already-listed Exklusiv are the only two places I'd take my VW.
