700,000 miles in 10 or so years? That is nearly 200 miles a day - every day for 10 years! I think I will try for the 30 year plan. These cars don't seem to rust much, so I have some hope of reaching this milestone - eventually.

In the main screen click on Applications , Then EDC 15-16 Miles.
But like compu_85 said , since 99.5 don't have either EDC 15 or 16 , it does not store miles in ECU and it can not show it.


The only way to track miles on this car is was to look in ECU. Cluster stop rolling at 621358 miles, which was 999999km.Here is the tread:

Odometer stop reading at 621358. It needed to reset to 0 miles .
Check link in post #15. And post # 11 shows miles.
I know this because I helped Brian.

And a photo from earlier today. The odometer was rolled back by exactly 400k miles in November 2016, so just a bit more than 700k miles actual.

The ECM records distance in kilometers, then the instrument cluster converts it to miles. But the instrument cluster cannot process a number greater than 999,999 kilometers or about 621,000 miles -- something to do with an 8-bit processor. Newer vehicles do not have this problem.
