Is it my nose, or does ultra low sulfur diesel smell different than the good old fashioned regular diesel?

It has less sulfur, and sulfur is very noticeable to most people. Yes, it smells better IMHO.

Yes, I have noticed that as well and I don't like the smell of the new stuff. It is a much sharper, pungent smell to me. The old Diesel smelled much different. The new stuff in a container is really hard to identify with the old "odor maps" that are in my brain.

This is why I thought the diesel may have been mixed with gas that time. It all makes sense now. I miss the old diesel.
