Default The Amazing Resource Page for TDI Parts!

Looks like the mods have killed this thread. Bummer. Thanks for all the feedback over the years!

For OE parts, I didn't know about www.trademotion.com. Their site looks identical to www.1stvwparts.com and 1stvwparts' prices come in even lower on a few parts I checked.

Great price on numerous items... some with shipping included (glow plugs, filter kits...) Also carries Metalnerd tools in Canada...

No-Name 2 1/2 gallon, metal can oil extractor from harbor freight. $25 delivered.

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=45403

Haven't tried it, but will as soon as I get frustrated enough with my melting plastic extractor.

[Edit] tried it. The included hose collapses with hot oil, but you can build a better hose replacement
using a standard basin supply tube and ball valve, but that bring the total cost up another $25.

http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread...457#post567457

Works well apart from that.

You might add this link under 'General Parts' for Canada, Brian can get anything listed at www.altrom.com plus WAY more, under their prices, and he's excellent to deal with.
Sells the Bentley manuals too.

Aluminum skidplate for A3 models US$299: http://www.bptdesign.com/product.htm

From a thread posted by 'warrenite', cheapest Canadian source for Beru glow plugs CDN$17.80:
http://www.adpdistributors.com/glowplugs.html

I bought A3 InPro E-codes through http://www.evolution-racing.com/ in Toronto, but their site is difficult to navigate, and the price went up since I purchased so not sure if they're worth mentioning...

Thanks for the lead to this site! My Turbo is kaput and I just ordered a NEW Turbo and manifold from World Impex for $695.00!!!!!!!! List price is $1,738.39. Being a new TDI owner and very new to the TDI Club this was a pleasant end to a significant problem. Thanks again for your response and direction!

Glad I was able to help you out!
Added some more from PM's...this list is starting to look the way I want it! A few items that I don't have prices for have been put in--if anyone can help me out with those I'd appreciate it (See "Intercoolers" for example).
Thanks,
-BB
