Default rear door won't unlock

03 Jetta - the drivers rear door doesn't unlock with the remote. You have to pull the handle on the inside twice to open it. Every once in a while it opens fine.

What could be the problem?

If you disconnect and then reconnect the battery, that may reinitialize the remote unlock function. Report back if that works, or not.

Tried, nope, still intermittent. I sprayed WD-40 everywhere I could, it seemed to make it work a little better.

Any ideas?
