Here we go!
I bought a 5 speed 1999 VW passat wagon with 130k miles on it for $1000... She had a clogged up oilpump pickup, but I dropped the pan and cleaned that out, then put it all back together with no money spent on parts. Runs good, considering it had low oil pressure!
Anyway, that doesn't matter cause the engine is going to be replaced with an AFN!
This time I decided to take the easy way out. I ordered a swap kit from Frans... but instead of buying the stock 5 speed, I requested a 6 speed upgrade.
I think this should be a bit easier than the toyota swap! It's supposed to all just fit, but we know how that goes.
