Default WTB - ECM for 1997 Jetta TDI

I am looking for a good used ECM for my 1997 Jetta TDI. Mine seems to be at fault for sending my car into limp mode.

i have one. i paid $200 for it. i did swap it in and out of my former car so i'm sure it works. only reason it came out was that it didn't fix the problem. does $200 plus shipping sound good?

Hey, thanks for responding to my post. I might very well be interested, I just need to know if the part number matches the one that is currently in my car. Does the part number match; "028906021ED" or "0281001541"?
Thanks.

Just out of curiosity, what was the problem that you were having that the computer didn't fix?

I had swapped the IP and the car ran weird. When i swapped back to the original IP the problem remained. I had a mechanic check it out and he said it was the ecu. Swapped that and no change. Finally figured out the timing was so retarded that it showed up as advanced! Tell you the truth, i dont know if i have the replacement ecu or the original one! They are both the same numbers and both from 97 jetta's
