any chance for a trial run, and possibly keeping my current tune available ?
curious what other tuners can do with my setup, but a bit gun shy to get rid of what I already have...
perhaps utilizing the automatic maps for the trial run?

That's fine, anyone who finds their tune doesn't perform to snuff can be returned to stock and won't have any charge. I don't want to do a lot of trials as it's the same work for me to do a trial tune as a permanent tune (and everyone will just want temp tunes). That said, I can do them on a limited basis and I'll gladly get you one loaded Growler. I'm sure you'll want to keep it once you try it .

ALH is a VE TDI. No tunes for AHU/1Z, the older VEs.

Aaron, do you still sell loaders? If so, can they store tunes from different tuners? Would be nice for people to keep a small inventory of their favorite tunes and load them onto their car at will (commonplace in the diesel pickup world).

Yes I do sell loaders, they are $250 with a tune purchase, and they hold up to three tunes on them (doesn't matter who did the tune).
